Description
Also known as the Damaru (Double sided drum), monkey drum, or Den Den Daiko, this unique percussion instrument makes use of motion in its method of playing. Holding the drum in your hand, simply twist your wrist to play it, and the strikers play the drum for you. It can be played slow or fast depending on your needs.
Traditionally, one might be playing these with a drum in each hand, but it can be played with just one drum as well. Often, these drums are used for ceremonies, celebrations, music, or just for fun.
