The Himalayan Damaru Bowl is Ruby and Suren’s joint venture and a new creation for sound healers, meditators, and music lovers. Ruby’s devotion to Lord Shiva inspired her for this creation and through lot of trials and errors and Suren guidance that this unique instrument became a reality.

The Daramu is often being held by Lord Shiva, symbolizing the rhythm of Universe and creation. The Damaru typically has two drumheads, which are connected by a string or cord that, when pulled, causes the drumheads to vibrate and produce a distinctive sound. The sound of Damaru represent the primal sound of the Universe, often referred to as “OHM”, the sacred sound of creation. It is considered a symbol of the duality of life, as it both a musical instrument and a spiritual object used in rituals and meditative practices. The Damaru is a key element in Shiva’s iconography.

Using the same principle, the Damaru Bowl or a double chalice are made combining 2 bowls with 2 different notes carefully chosen by our sound experts for the best resonant and harmonic quality of sound. The benefits of combining two bowls like this is that it is a convenient way to introduce two notes that harmonize with each other during a sound healing session. These bowls are hand hammered and carefully combined together using a wooden handle. 

This special Damaru has a combination of Silver & Copper which helps to balance between feminine & male energy. In a holistic context, some believe that combining silver and copper can enhance vitality, focus, and concentration, while reducing the negative effects of astrological planets. Silver and copper are both known for their electrical conductivity and other physical properties, which are relevant in various technological applications.
